Dr. Prateek Pandya graduated in 2001 with an M.Sc. in Forensic Science, after which he went to the Central Drug Research Institute in Lucknow, a flagship institute of CSIR for a training program on various analytical instruments. In addition, he has also been trained at State Forensic Laboratory in Lucknow in 2002.

He joined his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2003 and submitted his thesis in 2008 which was awarded in 2009. After his Ph.D. he worked as a Post-doctoral Research Associate in the Dept. of Biotechnology (DBT) Sponsored Research Project at DEI Dayalbagh, Agra. Later, he was awarded the UGC’s prestigious Dr. D S Kothari postdoctoral fellowship in 2011 for which he joined the group of Prof. Neelima Gupta in the Dept. of Chemistry, at the University of Rajasthan in 2012.

 

He has visited several reputed organizations such as the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata, the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, and CBMR-SGPGI Lucknow during and after his Ph.D. duration for experimental and computational work.

He worked as Assistant Professor at Galgotias University for one year before moving to Amity University as an Assistant Professor of Forensic Science. He has to his credit, more than 40 international publications and 50 Conference papers. He has written 5 book chapters. He has been on the reviewer's panel of some of the most prestigious journals such as Nature Communications, JBSD, JMGM, etc. His area of research includes Drug-Receptor interactions, Molecular and Computational Toxicology, Computer Simulations, Molecular modeling, Forensic Toxicology, Forensic Serology, and Drug Design.
